Concert Wear

From day...

To night...

Outfit details:
T-shirt: Zara. Jeans: Lamb&Flag. Shoes: Vans. Bag: Marc Jacobs. Necklace: Zara. Bracelets: Forever 21 & Nordstrom.

This past weekend I got to see John Mayer in concert! It was such a good time. There is nothing like seeing a concert on a summer night. Jarrett and I went with my parents, one of my brothers, and his fiance. It is always interesting to see what people wear to concerts, (people watching is so great), some hit the mark while others don't seem very prepared for the occasion. Haha. I was so glad I wore comfortable shoes because the hike to the lawn area is a work out. I cannot imagine being in heels and climbing that hill and when the sun goes down it gets pretty cold out there. I was cold just looking at the people who wore shorts and dresses!
On another note, I just purchased this Zara necklace and I am obsessed. I seriously love it. Such a fun statement piece and it makes me feel like a t-shirt and jeans [and even vans] are somehow way more fashionable now. Am I right or am I right?

P.S. - Look how fun the stage was for John's first song. A starry night and dangling/glowing stars!
I hope you all had a fun weekend!

Pink & White

Top: Target. Jeans: Wet Seal. Shoes: H&M. Bag: Kate Spade. Necklace: Francesca's boutique. Bracelets: Nordstrom/forever 21.

Do you ever have those moments where you get really awkward in photos? Ha. I kept telling myself "Hannah, you write a style blog. Act natural!". Well, today was one of those days. My husband and I decided to take photos [mostly due to lighting] over by these really, really large houses close by where we live. I don't know about you, but sometimes rich people scare me. Here we are, taking outfit photos out in front of these mansions and I keep thinking someone is going to come yell at us! So, naturally, half of the photos we took I look freaked out.
Regarding the outfit: I love my pink kitten heels. A peplum and baby pink accessories is the perfect amount of girly girl. Loved wearing this look!

Just Blog It

Dress: Nordstrom Rack. Clutch: H&M. Shoes: Target. Bracelets: Forever 21. Necklace: Tiffany&co.

We all know that maxi dresses are super comfy and totally easy outfits. Naturally, I was excited to post about this maxi dress because I love it! Plus, it's totally great for summer ease. What I didn't know was that the black and white tiny stripe makes for some pretty funky photos. I was so bummed about this discovery. Trust me it's easier to look at in person, let's just say the camera didn't see it that way.
What can you do when you have a great outfit but mister camera friend ain't feelin it?
Well, you blog it.
[when in doubt, just blog it]

Happy weekending!

Chambray + Leopard

Shirt: Target. Shorts: Nordstrom Rack. Shoes: Target. Bag: Marc Jacobs. Bracelets: Forever 21. Necklace: Nordstrom [gift]. Sunnies: Anthropologie [sale].

Loving my leopard flats lately! I love finding new ways of wearing basics and putting together outfits I haven't worn before. This, my dear, is one of those outfits. Chambray is so versatile and tying it up makes it perfect for a hot day. Of course pair it with shorts and flats and you're ready for the weekend! Because who doesn't want to be comfy and stylish on the weekend, right?

Do you have any go to weekend wear you're loving right now?
Happy Monday!

Boyfriend Shorts & a Pop of Color

Sweater: Gap [sale]. Shorts: Gap. Shoes: LoveD. Clutch: TJMaxx. Sunnies: Anthropologie [sale].

Fell in love with these boyfriend shorts and haven't stopped wearing them since I got them! They are super comfortable and perfect for a casual summer day. I really loved pairing the neon yellow with a pop of purple. Such a fun summer combo!
Let me just say, whoever created the whole "boyfriend" trend was a genius. You know why? Because it gives us girlies an excuse to wear baggy clothes [sweaters, shorts, jeans, button-ups] and call it stylish and trendy. Please we don't do it for the comfort, oh noo, we do it cause we're fashionistas. Duh. [ha! its like wearing sweatpants that are totally acceptable & fashionable. Shhh... don't tell.]

Summer Nights

Sweater: Gap [sale]. Jeans: Wet Seal. Shoes: Target. Purse: Marc Jacobs. Necklace: Thrift find! Watch: Fossil.

I really wanted to blog this outfit because I just got this adorable sweater from Gap on an incredible sale and I love how great it is for cool summer nights. Well, the time I chose to do so.. it wasn't so cool out. Even though the sun was setting and I knew it would be warm out I still decided to just do it because it would cool off after. Good luck with that right. It was really warm, like really really warm, but I made it out alive and I have these photos to prove it. Anything for fashion, right? Bailey joined me in a few photos too, but man was she distracted. again. Any tips on how to train your dog for blog photos? Is there a self help book, you know like "How to get your dog to blog: for dummies" ?! Ha I'd so buy it.

Life lately:
I am trying every day to be less selfish and more giving in my marriage. I think life brings us so many challenges and hurdles that sometimes all we can do is pray. Focus on God and what he has provided us and truly appreciate His great love. I am so blown away at my blessings, but like any human being, I get selfish, frustrated, tired, etc. This week my challenge [for myself] is to be more attentive to Jarrett's needs and more in rhythm with having quiet time with God. The only way I can change or better myself is to become closer to my savior and He will change my heart.

Have a great Monday loves!

Verse of the day:

A Girl & Her Pup

Top: Free People via Nordstrom Rack. Jeans: Lamb&Flag. Shoes: Target. Sunnies: Anthropologie (sale!). Bracelets: Nordstrom & Forever 21. Necklace: Thrifted.

If you've been wondering about where I've been the past couple months here is your answer. Jarrett and I decided to get a puppy! Her name is Bailey and she is now about 4 months old. She is a rescue pup so we aren't 100% positive about her breed, but they think she is a Tibetan Spaniel mix. I love dogs and when we decided to get Bailey I was sooo excited and happy! My mom came with us to look at the puppy litter and she couldn't help but fall in love, which led to her getting Bailey's sister puppy! It has been a lot of fun being a puppy momma and having sister pups! We love them!
So I thought that it would be such a fun and cute photoshoot to have Bailey in my pictures and let me tell ya! It was certainly... entertaining. As adorable as she may be, you cannot get her to sit still! She was driving me crazy quite honestly, but hey the pictures aren't too bad! Right? Haha.

Happy Weekend!
