Rain or Shine

Jeans: lamb&flag. Shirt: hand-me-down. Sweater: h&m. Sockies: urban outfitters. Bag: marc jacobs. Boots: hunter. Necklace: nordstrom (gift). Lipstick: mac "runaway red".

Hi there everyone! This outfit was my Christmas Eve look! I wanted to be casual, but still chic. My fiance gave me these Hunter boots for my birthday last week and I absolutely love them. They are so comfy and I hate to say it but that little label with the red outline...the cherry on top people. Seriously.
Who doesn't want new glossy Hunter rainboots!? I've worn them twice now and it hasn't even rained.
Oh well. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Rain or shine baby.

I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas with family and friends.
A savior was born. Rejoice!

New Frames from Firmoo!

Jeans: hudson (on sale). Shirt: h&m. Sweater: lamb&flag (on sale). Socks: urban outfitters. Boots: steve madden. Bag: marc jacobs. Necklace: nordstrom (gift). Glasses: c/o Firmoo

Firmoo is an online glasses company with tons of chic, affordable, and fashionable glasses to choose from! Let's face it, glasses are way more than practical, they have become such a style. Adding a pair of fun or classic frames makes such a difference in your look. I have to admit I was a little nervous about ordering glasses online, but once I got them in the mail I was thrilled! They fit perfect and I added my prescription to them, which is awesome.
They have an amazing new program where new customers can order their first pair free! You read that right. Free! Who doesn't love free stuff?
Buying glasses can be a challenging process, especially over the internet, but Firmoo has a virtual try-on system where you can upload a photo and see what the frames will actually look like on you! I thought this was extremely helpful and totally worked. Overall, love my new Firmoo frames.

Okay, so my glasses are prescription. Want to hear a little story? I thought so.
I was about 16 years old. I went to the DMV to get my drivers license, right? As you can imagine it's already a little nerve-racking. So the woman at the desk asks me to cover one of my eyes and read the letters on the sign. It was then, in that moment, it was a blur. I was shocked. I told the lady I couldn't read them... She kindly told me to try my other eye. It worked. Success with one eye! So she decided to do me a favor (noticing my level of shock and sadness) and she granted me my license.
Next thing I knew I had an appointment with the optometrist. The rest is history.
I actually only need glasses for distance, usually driving. It isn't so bad. Especially now, with how stylish all these frames are! You don't even need to need glasses to wear them.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed that little tale. Head over to Firmoo and get yourself some FREE glasses lovelies!

Cheers!

Sunday was my 21st birthday! I unfortunately didn't take a ton of photos and many of them have bad lighting... I know, sad. Anyways, I pulled some from Instagram and shared a few of the decor photos, too! This birthday was shared with family/ the best people I know. My mom surprised me with the streamers with pink & gold balloons, which hello are wonderful. They even bought me a cute little ruffled cake, which was chocolate heaven by the way. The limo was another grand surprise. I was so excited when I heard it was on its way! It made the night so very glamorous. I love my family and friends so dearly. They really made this birthday one for the books.
Dress up, dinner, drinks, driver, dancing. Oh yeah.

In regards to my outfit, I wore a party dress from h&m, black tights, & black heels (which according to the photo above = invisible legs...)

ladylike party dress + gold nails + red lipstick = perfection.
Also, I must tell you this red lipstick is my very first true red! &&& just guess the name....       "Runaway Red"
umm, how perfect is that?

Cheers & Happy Tuesday!

eShakti

Dress: c/o eShakti. Sweater: tilly's. Tights: nordstrom b.p. Boots: steve madden. Necklace: francesca's. Bag: dooney&bourke thrifted.

When eShakti first contacted me to do a product review I was a little hesitant because it seemed too good to be true. They provide affordable, chic fashion that is all customizable. Yes, you read that right. You can order garments fit exactly for your figure and measurements. Even better, you can adjust the design of any garment, too. For example, you love the dress I am wearing, but maybe you'd like a longer sleeve? With a click of a button you can adjust it. Crazy right!?

I ordered this dress without altering the design and chose a standard size after reviewing the measurements. It fits great and I love the detailing on the front of the dress. It's also really comfortable, which is a must.

Head over to eShakti to check it out. They have a lovely sale going on until Saturday, too!

Memories in the Rain

shirt: h&m. jeans: lamb&flag. coat: nordstrom rack. scarf: nordstrom. boots: costco. bag: marc jacobs.

Jarrett & I drove around looking at condos in the rain the other day. It was so fun and yet such a simple, good memory. We ate french fries and laughed and enjoyed dreaming together. He is the best thing ever. I love how he can make an ordinary gloomy day so memorable.

Okay, okay enough mushy love talk.

p.s. marriage is in less than 3 months now!

Beanie days

Sweater: H&M. Beanie: Active. Jeans: Lamb&Flag. Shoes: Target. Purse: Marc Jacobs.

The holidays have arrived and the gloomy days are in full swing, which is wonderful!
The more I look at these photos the more I think to myself it just didn't work. Individually, I love each and every piece of this outfit, but together? I don't know about this. It's been an off week. I do love beanies. I think it's one of my favorite wintertime accessories. This one is big and cozy and makes me want a hot cocoa.
Do you ever have those days where you just feel blahh?
Craving new clothing, living in sweatpants.

Do you realize how all over the place this post is?
Don't judge me.

Birthday Options

Birthday dress options

1. H&M $40 / 2. J.Crew $100 / 3. Modcloth $50 / 4. Topshop $75

My birthday is about three weeks away and I will be 21!!! I'm so excited. I want to have dinner and dress ladylike and feel all grown up for the night. I'm not one to really party or go clubbing so this year it will be fun to dress a little fancy and order a cocktail. Of course, I have to choose the perfect dress and the hunt has begun!
What do you think of these four options? Possibly a winner in the mix?

Let me know what you think.
Have a happy weekend!

Hello everyone! This was my Thanksgiving day outfit.

I just adore the holidays, despite the stress and hectic crowds, I love everything about the holiday season. The red holiday cups at Starbucks is one of those things that just makes you smile. & totally crave a peppermint mocha. [don't judge] :)

I'm thankful for every one of you readers! Thank you for being so awesome.
