The weather here in Southern California is being a bit temperamental, lately. It was cool and sunny for a few days, then the extreme heat came in (&by extreme I mean in the 90's, enough to complain about it). Now we are having gloomy summer storms with humidity and gloomy skies, but again, it's still hot. I could rant about the weather for hours....Ok maybe not hours, but it's ridiculous! 

Anyways, due to the sticky heat when I wore this outfit I went with minimal/light jewelry because A. It was all I could handle and B. I wanted my shorts to take center stage. Bravo shorts!

I was doing some online shopping for some fun, colorful floral pants and found these darling ones! I decided to play with the styling and wanted to create a casual, dressed-down look. This is what I came up with. What do you think?

Lately I've been having a hard time taking outfit photos because the sun is either going down and it becomes too dark OR the sun is being stubborn and is sort of "in the way". It is a big problem, I know. I just got this simple t-shirt dress from H&M and was excited to take photos with it; however, that sunlight wasn't being my best friend. This weather here in California has been pretty grumpy, too. Hot then cold then overcast then burning up. & It's suppose to be 90 degrees all week! 

Bring it on sunshine.

Pizazz!

 I think this outfit is wonderful for an easy summer weekend look. I don't typically shop at target for clothing or shoes; however, as a student with a low budget, I decided to give it a try. I ended up finding a few great pieces! These orange ballet flats were only twenty dollars! They are so versatile & add a pop of color to a simple outfit. This statement necklace also makes my current love list. It's mix of colors & bold size can add pizazz to a look in seconds.
