Happy Thanksgiving Darlings!

Today is my husband and my first thanksgiving as a married couple! It is such a wonderful feeling to have a husband to wake up to each and every day and to get the privilege to laugh with my best friend for the rest of my life. I'd say that is pretty awesome. Oh and what makes my heart even a little bit happier, Bailey. My adorable puppy / fur-baby. Haha. Definitely thankful for this sweet pup and my sweet hubs. We are spending the day at my family's house. It is such a blessing to spend time with all my loved ones and enjoy this holiday as a family. All too often life gets hectic and gratefulness gets pushed aside. Today let's all remember what we have been given and the beauty in all the small things in life. Everyday is one to be thankful for, but today let your hearts be full with joy because blessings are surrounding us. Smile and eat and drink and be grateful! I hope you have a heart-warming day filled with laughs, love, and family because let's face it, family is everything.

Weekend getaway // Letting it be

Last weekend my husband and I went on a weekend trip up to San Luis Obispo, CA. We visited my best friend and her boyfriend at college. It was such a fun time just to leave the daily realities for two days. Sometimes it is good to just let it be for a weekend. Life can get so hectic; it was definitely time for a break in the schedule. Jarrett and I made a pit stop here in Pismo Beach and took these photos. Such a beautiful view and cold crisp air. As you can tell, I went ultra comfy for the four hour car ride. That's what road trips are for!

Hi loves! 

I know it has been a little while, but life has been a bit crazy. My brother got married and I have been spending all my time doing homework and in free time making holiday crafts! Ha. I am a lover of the holiday season and this year I started early on my Christmas decorations. It is so fun being married and being able to decorate my own place now. Newly wed life means DIY decorations (in other words, no money) Haha. I am enjoying it nonetheless. 

I adore this Free People floral dress so much. I originally bought it for my sister-in-law's bridal shower and now I get to wear it for Fall weather. 

My husband's new hobby is photography. So now he is learning and enjoying taking blog photos for me. I loved the way the lighting was on this cool Sunday afternoon.

Every girl has her off days, but honestly a good accessory makes for a happy gal. At least thats how I fix things, with new accessories.. That's normal right? Haha. Don't you just feel so much more of a woman in high heels? I don't know what it is about walking in a heel that makes me feel like such a girl. By the way, I have a confession. I have had these photos for several days and I still haven't found time to post them! It's crazy how hectic the college life can get. One word: overwhelmed. 

I seriously love how easy a t-shirt and jeans is to throw on and the fact that glamming it up just got easier with this gorgeous ILY Couture necklace makes me super happy! Bonus: I got it on sale! I have had my share of lusting over all the beautiful ILY Couture pieces on other bloggers and I finally have my own! Cue the happy dance!

Can you believe it is already September!? Oh my goodness time is literally flying by. These last few weeks have decided to be the hottest, most humid part of our summer. Which of course means short dresses and cold drinks. This babydoll dress makes me feel like a little girl again. It is a little on the shorter side (oops), but I adore the detailed neckline and little lace trim so much.  

I recently discovered the iced mocha from starbucks and wow, it is amazing. I mean mixing two of my favorite things, coffee + chocolate, and bam! The best drink ever was created. Truly, how could it get better than that, right?
