Rebellion

 The Outfit ~
Blouse: Zara
Jeans: Wet Seal
Jacket: Arden B.
Boots: Steve Madden
Purse: Marc Jacobs
Jewelry: Tiffany&Co

Nothing says rebel quite like black leather. Okay so maybe I’m not much of a rebel or even a big risk taker, but wearing black leather makes me feel like I should be. These boots are brand new and I am down right in love! I’m in shock that I haven’t owned a pair of black boots until now! Can you believe that? It’s a crime. Of course, I couldn’t go full on “bad girl” so I wore my polka dot blouse. It makes me feel a little more “good girl” and a little less criminal. I think it adds a tad of innocence, and that is all I need.

psst...follow me, make my day!  : )

The Simple Bare Necessities...

The Outfit ~
Pants: Zara
Blouse: Nordstrom B.P.
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack
Bracelets: Vintage via my momma

The weather in Southern California has been all over the map lately. It was extremely hot, then some summer storms came along mixing humidity with a bit of rain, now it's a little bit cooler... Let's just say I've been forced to change outfits more than once daily. Haha. I'm that type of girl, anyway. Can never decide on just one look from morning till night. But hey I blame it on the weather!

I love, love, love the simplicity of this look. You might be thinking, "Did she forget accessories this morning?" The answer is no. I feel like sometimes, just sometimes, a bare neck is necessary. A little femininity, a dash of masculinity, and a tiny bit of vintage. Good thing.

Naturally Native

The Outfit ~
Dress: Free People via Nordie's Rack
Boots: Steve Madden (my staple)
Arm band: Vintage via Ebay :)
Turquoise ring: Found it! (Lucky me) Other rings: My usuals (Tiffany)
Bracelets: Silver pieces- vintage from my mother,
Leather- handmade by me, Rope piece- found?

I am proud to say that I am part Native American. I'm only a portion of this heritage, however, I announce it on a regular basis.....Jarrett is a witness to this statement! Every time I wear this outfit, along with the accessories, I feel a little bit closer to Pocahontas. Ha Ha. Not surprising that I loved that disney film when I was younger.

Have a splendid sunday!

Polka Dot Party

The Outfit ~
Blouse: Zara
Shorts: Tilly's (my previous employer)
Shoes: Report via Nordie's Rack
Handbag: Marc Jacobs (gifted from the boy)
Jewelry: Rings; Tiffany&Co (my everyday necessities) Necklace; Thrifted!

I've been pretty busy this week and sadly, haven't posted on here... But I'm here to assure you I haven't given up. School started up again this past Monday and life just got a whole lot crazier. So with five classes I am continually reminding myself to not freak out yet... the first week isn't quite over. Tomorrow is the first day of my Saturday class. I know what you're thinking, "Who in their right mind would take a Saturday class!?" I figured it's not so bad. Jarrett, my hot boyfriend, works on the weekends and I have no reason not to wake up early on a Saturday morning. Plus that was the best fit English class my college was offering. BLAH.
Today was Jarrett's and my only real day off this week and it was over 90 degrees. Much too hot for my liking. We went out for breakfast this morning at this homey little place and after... went shopping! In the wonderfully air-conditioned mall. I found a darling sweater and he got some pants! Win-win.

Oh yeah, my outfit... I recently found this aqua colored necklace at a flea market for only 5 bucks and had to have it! I obviously dressed mainly for the weather, but felt free and fun in this little get up.
