I was recently introduced to Polyvore & I just love it! It is a website for creating your own pages/style arrangements/ etc. I found inspiration from Refinery29 's fourth of July looks and wanted to create my own look using one of the blouses they used. Ahh I am still thrilled about this discovery!

Challenging

shirt: tilly's. cardigan: nordstrom rack. pants: zara. shoes: cotton on. bag: marc jacobs. necklace: tiffany&co. bracelets: vintage {from my momma}

Once upon a time I decided that chino pants are a challenge to style... Until I found that they can actually be dressed down or dressed up, which makes for a pretty versatile pair of pants. I did realize that it takes a little dose of confidence to put on pants that are wide in the hips and feel great about yourself, but trust me they are worth a shot. You may be surprised at how fashionable and comfortable they actually are. Yes, these little guys have only been featured on my blog once, here, but that just may increase in numbers! Wah-laa! It just doubled. See how I did that?

Jail Pants & Funny Business

top: free people. pants: {from denmark}. shoes: nordstom rack. scarf: {from denmark}. bag: marc jacobs. bracelets: forever 21. necklace: tiffany&co. rings: david yurman & tiffany&co.

This photoshoot was particularly fun. Jarrett and I were quite giggly during these photos, mostly me. Sometimes being playful and silly, {please note my hitch-hiking photo above}, is what makes the best time. I don't often wear these pants because I usually can't choose a way to style them. They have tiny stripes, very light {almost white} color, and rips in them. I like to call them my jail pants, It just seems appropriate.

Distracted

Strawberries in the summertime are my favorite.

Smoothie + converse = happy day.

Almost 90 degrees. Definitely spent time soaking up the sun.

Fruit for days. :)

Picnic in the park!

Carnations from my sweetheart. {my favorite flower}

I feel like I've been a bit distracted this week. I went to compile this post and realized I have barely taken any instagrams all week! Not to mention I've been missing from blogging, too. My summer math class started on Monday and most of my attention has been on class, homework, and working on my fitness. This week has seen a whole lot of work out clothes and not a whole lot of photos. I apologize for being absent! I am yet to find a proper balance, but I swear it's the first thing on my to-do's!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I love Audrey Hepburn and am inspired by her beauty, wit, and kind heart. She was elegant, yet kept her silly side present throughout her life. Of course I adore the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. So last December I decided to recreate some of the photos from the movie (shown above&below). I visited San Francisco over my birthday week and had breakfast in front of Tiffany & Co in downtown San Francisco on the morning of my 20th birthday. I know what you're thinking, "It's June...." Well, better late than never, right?

My inner Audrey:

"The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."

Weekend wear

top: active. bathing suit top: target. jeans: wet seal. sandals: nordstrom rack. necklace/ring: tiffany&co. bracelets: forever21.

This weekend has been pretty laid back. I wore yoga pants most of the time, but I figured you all don't need to see that. I spent Sunday with my family and celebrated my awesome dadda with food and conversation. I was proud of myself for slipping away from the festivities, you know talking, eating, playing ping pong, eating, & did I mention eating? long enough to take some outfit photos. I think that says I'm becoming a true style blogger. Okay so maybe the yummy shirley temple didn't make it out of my hand, but hey we're getting there!
